Daqing, Heilongjiang, March 1, 2011 — The Central Spiritual Office (中央文明办) has published this year’s list of National Role Models of Virtue (全国道德模范) and Guardian Angels (身边好人), and held a ceremony in Daqing, Heilongjiang Province.  This, said two officials on the ceremony said, created the right atmosphere for the welcoming of the 90th birthday of the Communist Party (CPP). Respect for the elders and the older generations, going through thick and thin with a paralyzed husband, thus winning the recognition of leaders, colleagues, and fellow townspeople, and the adoption of babies with disabilities,  i. e. traditional Chinese virtues, were among the standards for judging the role models.

For several decades, a miner took good care of the mine and loved his job, showing dedication, professionalism, a strong sense of responsibility for safety, and brought out the best in his team, thus becoming a generalist for production safety (成为新铁煤矿安全生产的”多面手”).  Among cadres and employees, he is affectionately referred to as the “doctor of good health” (“保健医”). Song Mingyu (宋明宇) is a man of honest and plain behavior, says: “We are  just doing this job, and as long as we are doing it, we are doing it well, so as not to worry our leaders. We are responsible for the local power plant, and for this new black-coal mine.

Will someone help Mao Xinyu (毛新宇) to find his car, this year in Beijing?
